Join Ohio's E-Advocacy Network
The American Lung Association of Ohio (ALAO) Action Network is an online tool that will instantly connect you with policymakers who make decisions about important lung health issues, including air quality, tobacco use by children, and funding for asthma programs and biomedical research.

Once you have signed up to participate in the Action Network, you will periodically be notified by email when your action is needed. Simply respond to our email, personalizing a sample letter that we will provide, and the Action Network will send your message to key policymakers. Your voice will be heard when and where it is needed.  Join by sending an e-mail to Shelly Kiser at skiser@ohiolung.org with ACTION NETWORK in the subject line.

State Legislated Actions on Tobacco
A growing number of states are taking strong action to protect
their citizens by making almost all public places and workplaces
smokefree and raising tobacco taxes, according to a report
released Wednesday, March 15 by the American Lung Association.

In its annual update of State Legislated Actions on Tobacco Issues,
the Lung Association analyzes state laws enacted in 2005 on
smokefree air, youth access, tobacco taxes and tobacco prevention
spending, among other issues. The report is the only resource of its
kind in tobacco control today summarizing state tobacco control laws
on an annual basis.
